I am vaguely considering switching to DW and leaving LJ. Problem is, I actually tend to prefer LJ in many ways, not the least of which is that Neil Gaiman and a few of my friends still only post there and not on here.

Thoughts?

My LJ paid account recently ran out; I bought a subscription here this time. A lot of people I follow are not here, but I still check in over at LJ.

I came over here, following vc_media's move. My infrequent posts to my DW journal are cross-posted to LJ and I pop over there once a fortnight or so to read through my Friends pages, though most of them are here as well. As I've never bothered with paid accounts, it's no problem for me.

Neil Gaiman's on LJ?? I never knew. Love his work!

I hadn't realised he moved to LJ!! I used to read the RSS feed of the blog on his website, but I'd forgotten about it...

I would say just cross-post from here (unless maybe the posting apparatus here is specifically what you don't like; I can see how that'd get annoying); that way you've got back-up for your posts in case anything horrible happens with LJ, and you can still keep up with friends on both sites. I've been doing that for a couple of years now and it's worked out pretty well.
